FEBRUARY 2021
Deadline: April 26, 2021

TMCity seeks novel and groundbreaking research proposals to explore the relationship between COVID-19 (especially its long-term effects) and cognitive impairment/dementia.

We welcome proposals that explore the relationship between cognitive impairment/dementia and COVID-19, with the emphasis on the use of COVID-19 data to achieve any of the following: 1) elucidate the biological mechanisms (e.g. inflammation, cytokines) for the development or progression of short or long term cognitive impairment; 2) give insight into the prevention, mitigation or remediation of dementia-like symptoms; 3) identify new biomarkers or predictive factors for the later development of dementia; and 4) identify new biomarkers or predictive factors for the co-morbidity of cognitive issues with COVID-19, with possible implications for long-term dementia risk.
